Fabian Reimann (artist, Lintig / Leipzig)
Depuis Chauvet jusqu'à après demain (From Chauvet until the Day after tomorrow)

Based on selected works, the artist Fabian Reimann gives an account of his approach and stance towards historical themes. What is the relationship between history and its images? How are the concept of historical truth and its visual presentation constructed? How is history narrated and what is art’s perspective on it? Focusing on espionage during the Cold War and utopias of the future from this era, Fabian Reimann demonstrates the possibilities of how images originate as well as how things become signs and are coded.

Fabian Reimann (*1975 in Bremerhaven) studied cultural and art studies as well as German studies at the University of Bremen, graphic design / book art and fine art at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
